Events involving the SNSS or related to neutron science.

The SNSS organizes its first ‘thematic day’, which will be held at PSI (OSGA/EG6) on 24th November (afternoon).

If you plan to join but did not get an outlook calendar invite (PSI internal), please confirm your attendance by email until 17th November (romain.sibille@neutronscience.ch).

The goal of the ‘thematic day’ is to showcase a certain field of studies to the whole Swiss neutron science community.

Presentations are therefore intended to be accessible to those not necessarily familiar with additive manufacturing and neutron imaging, while keeping enough in-depth insights/results for the specialists in the audience.

The General Assembly of the Swiss Neutron Science Society will take place on May 5th at 15:00 in the Auditorium of PSI. The meeting will be held in a hybrid form (see link below).

This year we have invited Giovanna Fragneto (ESS science director) to give a talk about ESS instrumentation, and we will elect the new SNSS president (see Agenda under Society > General Assemblies). We also offer tours of the SINQ facility!

Please sign up for the General Assembly.

A workshop on neutron instrumentation (SINQ++ workshop) will take place from 25th – 26th November in Baden.

The goal of the workshop is to present and discuss the SINQ++ project.

The International Conference on Neutron Scattering (ICNS 2025) will be hosted in Copenhagen  6-10 July.

The next European Conference on Neutron Scattering  (ECNS 2027) will be held in Grenoble.
